Missionaries

Gateways supports a number of missionaries in different parts of the world.

Mark and Faye Griffiths

Mark & Faye

In February 2026, Mark and Faye had to leave the country in West Africa where they had served with SIM for over 20 years, because of the security situation in that nation.

Back in New Zealand as home missionaries with SIM, Mark continues to do some medical work and evangelism. He is also looking after the medical oversight for missionaries with SIM New Zealand. Faye is involved in some English teaching for immigrants to the city, and is still doing some of the administrative work for SIM in their country of service.

Starting in 2027, they are available for 6-month placements with SIM. It seems unlikely that they will be able to return to their previous country of service, and are seeking God for a suitable post in another nation.

Eleanor loves spending time discipling young people, teaching, and walking with them through all manner of life’s challenges.
